Sanni Brown
Meg Thee Stallion — She's DEFINITELY one to watch as the next spicy contender in the Hip-Hop world! Not only does she have EVERYBODY from Solange to Wale singing her lyrics on social media, she also has a project (not quite sure yet if it's an actual movie or a music video) called FEVER: Thee Movie coming up with the legendary Hype Williams directing it! (Hype Williams hasn't really been in the limelight for a while, but has worked with Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Jay-Z.) Meg Thee Stallion - official site
H.E.R. — She won a Grammy for Best R&B Album (self-titled release), which featured songs off her EP. To me, that really says something about her artistry, as some artists have to put out a few albums before even being considered for a Grammy. Her voice. That's it. That's the reason. DaniLeigh — I'm just learning about the résumé of DaniLeigh. She has a hit song called "Lil Bebe" that we're playing this week. Also, she is a Dancer (which is close to my own heart!) who produced and danced in Prince's video for "Breakfast Can Wait." Anybody who's worked with Prince is DEFINITELY someone to pay attention to in my book! DaniLeigh - official site

Destiny Roberts is one of the most creative artists working in the Twin Cities. Through her ROY G BIV series of six EPs she is rolling out throughout 2019, it's clear that her journey has just begun. Her material is full of her incredible voice, a relaxed delivery with subtle rhythmic sophistication. The EPs are filled with rewindable lyrical moments and great beats. Denzel Curry — I love how Denzel Curry is doing it right now. "Ricky" is this heavy sonic groove that Denzel dives right in with great, high-energy verses. Across the album, ZUU, he sounds like a perfect fit on so many different types of beats. He's done his homework and taken great things from many rappers, but he is absolutely one of a kind. I expect to be following him for years to come. Denzel Curry - official site
