When The Orwells visited The Current for an in-studio session, guitar player Dominic Corso took some time to tell us about the guitar he uses: a Sarricola custom guitar, built by Bill Sarricola, a high-school friend of the father of Orwells' frontman, Mario Cuomo.

Guthbjorg Tomasdottir of the duo My Bubba recently took some time to tell us about her vintage, Danish-built guitar. 'I was bicycling in Copenhagen and I saw this guitar in the window, and it just spoke to me,' she says. It's the latest addition to The Current's Guitar Collection.

When the Shelters performed their song 'Rebel Heart' in our studio, guitarist Josh Jove performed on a 12-string Rickenbacker. After the session, Jove told us about the guitar -- and that it was given to him by none other than Tom Petty, who co-produced the Shelter's self-titled debut album.

Following a recent in-studio recording session at The Current, Sara Watkins took some time to tell us about her parlor-style guitar. Watkins describes the inspiration for the guitar's vintage appearance, and she tells us what she likes about composing and performing on it.

Esme Patterson played an in-studio session, and she wielded an ESP Ron Wood model, a guitar modeled after the Telecaster pattern. In addition to talking about her guitar, Patterson also talks about how she approaches songwriting, who some of her guitar-playing influences are, and which effects pedals she really likes. 'I support companies that I really respect and make things in a way that makes sense,' Patterson says.

When Adia Victoria visited The Current's studio for a recent session, she was rocking out on a near-mint 2001 Gibson SG. She took some time after the session to tell us about it.

When James Hunter saw a photo of Lightnin' Hopkins with a Gibson Les Paul, Hunter knew he wanted to get one. Hunter bought his Gibson Les Paul in 1999 and it's been his main instrument ever since; it's even had its neck replaced. 'This fight broke out; I wasn't there, but the guitar was,' Hunter says. 'Had it been the other way round, it'd be me with no neck!'
