It’s a busy episode this week. We remember Justin Townes Earle on the 3rd anniversary of his passing. We also celebrated the birthdays of Robert Plant and John Hiatt. I also featured the usual dose of new music on this USofA.

This Sunday on United States of Americana, we’ll remember Robbie Robertson and The Band with a handful of tunes; Robertson passed away on Wednesday.

I have a trio of brand new tunes on the “Rootsier Side of the Current” this time. We’ll hear just issued songs from Wilco, Tyler Childers and Rhiannon Giddens!

On this United States of Americana I’ll feature a new track from Lucinda Williams, who is fresh off her 5 night stand at the Dakota. Also on the agenda is a new song by Chris Stapleton, which was co-written by Dan Wilson & we’ll hear Turnpike Troubadours from their first album in 5 years!   

On this USofA I featured a new song from Shakey Graves featuring Sierra Ferrell. Shakey performs on Friday at Bauhaus Brew Labs. I also had two-fers from Lucinda Williams, who’s string of shows begins tomorrow at the Dakota and First Aid Kit, who play tonight at the Palace Theater. 

This USoA featured songs from local artist Lucy Michelle, also Ryan Bingham, Jobi Riccio and Lukas Nelson & POTR, who’s new album was issued on Friday!

It was an action packed USofA this time. I featured a bunch of artists bound for the Twin Cities in the next week. I also featured a good dose of new music from artists like Margo Cilker, Tanya Tucker, Tommy Prine and I debuted a song by Ryan Bingham!

On this Pride Weekend I featured several LGBTQ+ artists! I also featured new songs from Norah Jones, Boy Golden & Tommy Stinson’s Cowboys in the Campfire!
