Randall is a black songwriter, who has had quite a bit of success in country music. Her songs have been recorded by people like Trisha Yearwood, Glen Campbell, and Johnny Cash. I also have new music from local artist Charlie Parr and Adrianne Lenker. I’ll also feature a few Grammy winners!
Feb. 4, 2024Bill DeVille • Feb 4, 2024On this United States of Americana I featured a couple songs from Buddy Holly and a tune from the Big Bopper, both perished in a plane crash near Clear Lake Iowa. Young singer Ritchie Valens and the planes pilot also died. The crash became known as “the day the music died,” immortalized in song by Don Mclean. I played new songs by Phosphorescent, Alex Jordan, Waxahatchee & we caught a couple tunes from Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, who perform at the Palace on March 2 & 3!
