Many songs have inspired certain dance moves or even entire dances. Chubby Checker seemed to have a special talent when it came to this phenomenon. Although probably better known for “The Twist,” it was on this day back in 1961 that Checker started a three-week run at the top of the U.S. singles chart with the song "Pony Time," which ushered in the dance “The Pony.”
Today let’s spotlight some of the jams that have inspired us to get up and move by creating a playlist full of songs that inspired dances.
So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that inspired a dance of some sort would you like to hear?
