Chicago pop-punk band Beach Bunny performed during night two of The Current’s 20th Anniversary at First Avenue in Minneapolis on Saturday, Jan. 25. Led by a joyous Lili Trifilio on vocals and guitar, the group tore through songs from their forthcoming third album, Tunnel Vision, as well as favorites from their back catalog. The crowd sang loudly along at several points, and took Trifilio’s directions to start a mosh pit in the center of the floor. During “April,” the mainroom floor turned into a sea of lit-up mobile phones.

Twin Cities-based indie rock band Bad Bad Hats — featuring an extra guitarist due to lead singer Kerry Alexander nursing an injured arm — and hip-hop duo MAKR AN ERIS kicked off the evening.
