On this day back in 1966, the album The Supremes A’ Go-Go hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album charts in the U.S. It was the ninth album released by The Supremes, and it made history when it hit the No. 1 spot, becoming the first album by an all-women group to top the charts.

The album contained original songs like, “You Can’t Hurry Love,” as well as covers like the Four Tops’ “Baby I Need Your Loving” and Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.” Today, let’s celebrate the groundbreaking success of The Supremes by creating a Motown playlist!

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs by Motown artists would you like to hear?
