You can think of a one-hit wonder as a band that had a reaaaallly popular song once. The one-hit wonder certainly has its place in musical history and tends to bring you back to when that certain song was mainstream.

The phenomenon is so important that in 1990, music journalist Steve Rosen created a whole day to celebrate these musical treasures. National One Hit Wonder Day is held each year on September 25 to pay homage to these chart toppers, so let’s get in on the celebration with a special playlist!
