The second Friday of the Minnesota State Fair is MPR Day, and the day’s programming includes live music presented by The Current and Radio Heartland. This year’s MPR Day lineup featured music by Minnesota artists The Twins of Franklin, FènixDion and Nur-D.
As a new daily attendance record of 225,521 fairgoers entered the Minnesota State Fair gates on Friday, Aug. 30, a picture-perfect blue sky and bright sun formed the backdrop for performances by the three acts on the big stage in Dan Patch Park, just outside the Grandstand.
