Rumors of an Oasis reunion took over the interwebs earlier this week after a teaser video was posted on brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher’s social media accounts with the message “27.08.24,” and time “8 a.m.” The message was written in the same font as the Oasis logo and was also posted to the band’s social media accounts.

This time, the whispers of a reunion turned out to be true. OASIS LIVE 25 is a stadium tour that will kick off in Ireland and the U.K. next year. There is hope that the tour will expand; a press release says that plans are underway for the show to go to other continents outside Europe later next year.

Beyond the end of the brothers’ animosity (we hope), seeing Oasis reunite is a big deal musically given their indisputable place in the 1990s emergence of Britpop — an unapologetically British expression of alternative rock — that became a major element in the late-90s’ “Cool Britannia” period, when British cultural output was celebrated at home and across the world. Let’s celebrate the reunion of the Gallagher brothers, and the genre they helped champion, with music!

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs from artists considered Britpop would you like to hear?
