One thing that everyone has in common is that we are all unique. Everyone has quirks and special interests that make them tick. Some might even say that we tend to get a little nerdy when it comes to what we like.

Today is Find Your Inner Nerd Day. The holiday was founded by Your Nerdy Best Friend, a site owned by speaker, author, and self-proclaimed nerd Beth Z, to take a moment and recognize the things in your life that bring you joy. Find Your Inner Nerd Day is celebrated on August 23 to commemorate the day Chris Messina invented the hashtag on Twitter in 2007.

Of course, hashtags are a great way for those with the same (nerdy) interests to find each other, and you can use the hashtag #findyourinnernerdday to mark today’s occasion. Let’s embrace our inner nerd with music!
