If you’ve been on social media at all lately, then it’s a safe bet that you’ve seen the viral apple dance that has been circulating across platforms. From your best friend to your favorite celebrity, everyone seems to be doing this dance. Even Olympic athletes have gotten in on the action.
The dance was inspired by Charli XCX’s song “Apple” from her new album Brat that dropped in June and brought with it the phenomenon that is Brat Summer. TikTok creator Kelley Heyer choreographed the dance a couple of months ago, and it has taken off like wildfire. The staff of The Current even gave it a try!
Learning dances with your friends is a great way to pass the time. It even brings up memories of growing up in the days before the internet when teens and tweens would put together dances to their favorite songs for fun. Today, let’s celebrate the apple dance with music!
So For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs about or relating to apples would you like to hear?
