The Aquatennial kicks off tonight (Wednesday, July 24) in Minneapolis, and opening day is packed with activities! This year’s festivities include outdoor performances, a Twin Cities River Rats water ski show, and the Torchlight Parade. This longstanding tradition is the largest nighttime parade in the state. This year, the parade honors the Walter Cup Champion Minnesota PWHL Team as goalie Nicole Hensley and defender Lee Stecklein join as Grand Marshalls.

The Aquatennial runs through Saturday and will conclude with one of the largest fireworks displays in the nation. (The show uses about 10,000 lbs. of fireworks!) Let’s join the fun and pay tribute to the City of Lakes with music!
