Coffee Break: All About Batman

Batman: The Movie
Batman: The Movie20th Century Fox

by Jill Riley and Nilufer Arsala

July 17, 2024

Today marks 12 years since The Dark Knight Rises Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was released. The film was the last in the Dark Knight Trilogy, and its musical companion was composed by Hans Zimmer, though James Newton Howard helped compose the main theme. The soundtrack hit No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and debuted at number 10 on the Canadian Albums Chart.

Music helps add to the mood everywhere, including Gotham City, and looking back at this release has us thinking about the other songs we’ve heard in the Batman universe. Today, let’s celebrate all things Batman with music!

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs from (any) Batman would you like to hear?
