Coffee Break: Pride Weekend
by Jill Riley and Nilufer Arsala
June 28, 2024
This weekend is Twin Cities Pride Festival at Loring Park in Minneapolis — and we’re celebrating in a BIG way here at The Current! Today, Tonal Recall will have a special Pride-themed show at noon, and then Ayisha Jaffer will kick off the weekend with a dance party starting at 10 p.m. on The Current. Tomorrow, the celebration continues on the airwaves with Pride editions of Teenage Kicks and Radio Free Current, and a Saturday-night dance party hosted by Kendall Stewart, then United States of Americana will get in on the fun with a special Pride edition on Sunday.
Of course, you can join us at the festival all weekend long — be sure to look for The Current in the parade! Also, if you haven’t yet, go ahead and check out our Pride Stream — it’ll keep you moving all month long. Let’s get ready for the weekend’s festivities — and celebrate love — with music!
