There is a LOT going on in our state this weekend, including The Minnesota Prince Celebration. Paisley Park is going all out this year with a stacked lineup of panels, performances and events to honor the 40th anniversary of the movie Purple Rain. Attendees of Celebration will also get a sneak peek of the stage adaptation of the film.

We thought we would join in on the festivities by celebrating Celebration with music.
From lavender and plum to indigo and lilac, there are many shades of purple… and many songs that reference the royal color.

It’s true — the days only get shorter from here, but not before we welcome the official astronomical first day of summer with music.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, which songs that reference the many shades of purple would you like to hear?
