June has arrived, and that means it’s officially Pride Month. Even though Twin Cities Pride Weekend is still a few weeks away, Pride events will be taking place all month long in the Twin Cities and beyond.

To kick off the first weekend of Pride Month, we want to play music that supports, celebrates, and champions the LGBTQIA+ community. Let’s enter this week and this month with Pride on our minds and in our hearts with songs about rights, love, and allyship. (And if you want even more music for Pride after the Coffee Break, you can flip over to The Current’s Pride Stream!)

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, which songs by members of the LGBTQIA+ community should we play?
