This Saturday is Record Store Day, a day that’s all about celebrating and supporting independent record stores. Right now, record collectors and the vinyl curious are likely putting together their wish lists as they make plans to visit their favorite record stores or to discover new ones.

But here’s the thing: Once you’ve made your purchases, you’ll need something to play those records on. And that’s what we’re celebrating today: the record player. There are a lot of songs that make references to record players or to their many synonyms — phonograph, gramophone, hi-fi, stereo, rotary table (OK, maybe not that last one so much) — as well as related things like turntables, the needle, and let’s not forget our old pal the jukebox.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs that refer to record players in some way would you like to hear?
