Minnesota is among a collection of 16 states and one territory holding presidential nominating contests Tuesday in the main, multistate-voting event of the 2024 primary campaign; for that reason, it’s called Super Tuesday. The remaining states will vote through the summer and fall on their primary slates, so Super Tuesday is not the end of the primary season, but it’s certainly important because it’s the date when votes will be tallied from the most states at one time during the presidential primary cycle.
