The Album of The Week is Brittany Howard’s second solo release, What Now. The five-time Grammy winner’s sophomore effort was inspired by Stevie Wonder’s Songs in The Key of Life. 

It represents her next chapter — her “High Priestess Era,” as she calls it. 

What Now explores a multitude of genres, from dancefloor bangers to vintage soul and joyous funk. Each track is distinctive from the rest, but together, they bare her soul.
