The iconic and influential artist David Bowie was born on January 8, 1947, and died on January 10, 2016. Over the course of his remarkable career, Bowie released 26 studio albums, as well as numerous live albums, EPs, soundtracks and singles. He had an uncanny ability to refresh and reinvent his image and his sound, and the number of artists he’s influenced and people he inspired is incalculable.

With so many musicians inspired by David Bowie, it’s not surprising that many covered his songs. And in a similar fashion, Bowie himself was inspired by other people’s music. So let’s honor David Bowie’s life and legacy by shining a light on those omnidirectional influences.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what cover versions of David Bowie songs, or songs by other artists covered by David Bowie, would you like to hear?
