In 2023, the Minnesota Legislature adopted dozens of sweeping changes that affected Minnesotans’ lives in ways big and small. As MPR News summarized last week, Minnesota lawmakers legalized marijuana for recreational use, put in place legal protections for abortion, restored voting rights to people convicted of a felony who’d served out their prison terms and funded school meals for any student that wanted them.
