Today in 1976, Paul Simon performed “Still Crazy” in a turkey costume. During the performance, he stops mid-song, and is followed backstage where he complains to producer Lorne Michaels about his outfit. This bit was all Simon’s idea, as he wanted to show he had a sense of humor.

From cracking jokes in interviews to embracing a little self-deprecation, it’s refreshing when artists decide to let their personalities shine through to their audience — as opposed to taking themselves a little too seriously.

Today, the ask is that you to focus on non-joke bands — so no Tenacious D, Weird Al, etc. — just songs from artists with witty lyrics, satire, sarcasm, or as people, they’re funny.

For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, which songs from musicians/bands/songwriters with a strong sense of humor do you want to hear?
