It was a beautiful and balmy day for live music at the Great Minnesota Get-Together on Friday, Sept. 1.

MPR Day featured performances by the Cactus Blossoms, Kiss the Tiger, KNOWN MPLS Choir, and BLU Bone at Dan Patch Park, and much more.

As night fell, fans of Minnesota music headed to the Schell’s Stage at Schilling Amphitheater for First Avenue Goes to the Fair. The evening featured Al Church & the Congregation — including The Local Show host Diane — backing up a wide range of artists with local ties, including Tommy Stinson, XINA, Laamar, Juice Lord, and Becky Kapell.
