Fleet Foxes captivate First Avenue audience
July 05, 2023
Fleet Foxes filled First Avenue’s Mainroom stage in Minneapolis on Tuesday with their echoing harmonies and lush instrumentation. Uwade, a Nigerian-based singer-songwriter based in New York opened for the group. She sang sweetly while strumming her electric guitar, getting audiences ready for what was to come.
Fleet Foxes was greeted by a shower of screams from the tightly packed general admission section, as the show was sold out. Concertgoers were lulled into a trance by the group’s well composed instrumentation which included a brass section, thumping bass (both electric and upright), drums and percussion, guitars traded amongst members, and strikingly chilling vocals.
