But Here We Are, the eleventh album from Foo Fighters, and their first after the death of beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins, is full of devastating lines. In the second verse of “Under You” Dave Grohl’s voice utters the shattering and gut twistingly honest, “Someone said I'll never see your face again / Part of me just can't believe it's true.”
Dave Grohl has written some of his most passionate music after the passing of Kurt Cobain – songs where he stares death in the eyes and rages against it. The new album is built from those same raw moments of misery that follow great loss.
