Coffee Break: songs of adolescence

Author Judy Blume has written more than 25 books, including Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Although that book was published in 1970, its very first film adaptation — which features Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates and Abby Ryder Fortson — releases this Friday, April 28. Blume’s other books include favorites like Blubber and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.
Across many of her books, Judy Blume details what it’s like to be an adolescent, and she does it with honesty, compassion and humor.
In celebration of Judy Blume, we’re thinking about songs that capture adolescence and/or coming of age. So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what song do you want to hear that speaks to your tween/coming of age experience? And if — in addition to naming the song — you can share a little bit about why that song is significant to you, all the better.
