After going to No. 1 in several countries with “Run Away To Mars,” Canadian artist TALK has a new single. Also, hear new releases from MUNA, This Is The Kit, and Minneapolis artist ZORA and discover Texas artist Teezo Touchdown. Plus, hear the new single from Foo Fighters, who are re-emerging with a new album following the loss of their drummer, Taylor Hawkins.

Foo Fighters, “Rescued”

Foo Fighters were on a huge festival tour last year when drummer Taylor Hawkins died, placing the band on an indefinite hiatus. After putting on two huge remembrances in both the U.S. and the U.K., it seems the remaining members of the band went into the studio to process their grief. A new album is on the way June 2 called But Here We Are, which the band calls a “brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year.”

 MUNA, “One That Got Away”

The trio MUNA debuted the new song “One That Got Away” at Coachella over the weekend. Some 80s influences brighten this dance track about getting involved with a toxic person; the band calls the song, “a bit vengeful and mean, but also fun.”

ZORA, “The Bitch Is Back” (press) feat. Destiny Spike

Since the day ZORA popped up into the Minnesota music scene, the producer, singer, and rapper has been drawing attention with her refusal to blend into the background. In the first new song since her debut ZI last year, “The Bitch Is Back” is a song that is “an act of independence and something for the girls to turn up to.”

This Is The Kit, “Inside Outside”

Teaming up with Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals to help produce her latest album, Careful of Your Keeper, Kate Stables has a driving force behind her direct songwriting. With the album coming out June 9, “Inside Outside” is a thoughtful song about “the fragility of things.” It’s a song about the impermanence of situations and relationships, and how perspectives are always changing.

Teezo Touchdown, “Familiarity”

A Texas producer who has gotten praise from the likes of Tyler, the Creator and Madonna, Teezo Touchdown started as many musicians do this days — posting homemade videos on YouTube while he was in high school and building up a fan base. But it wasn’t until he shared songs in 2020 and was asked by Tyler, the Creator and Kenny Beats to jump on some of their projects that his star started to rise.

TALK, “Afraid of the Dark”

Canadian musician TALK (aka Nicholas Durocher) has already hit No. 1 in his home country with his song, “Run Away To Mars.” He’s hoping for equal success with the equally anthemic new single, “Afraid of the Dark.”
