At long last, it seems spring has finally arrived in Minnesota. MPR Meteorologist Sven Sundgaard, writing in the Updraft weather blog, predicts Monday will bring “lots of sun and light winds. We’ll see even warmer temperatures Tuesday, with the first 70s likely in the Twin Cities area.”

With those welcome 70s heading our way, let’s celebrate the music of the 1970s on today’s Coffee Break. Decades are not genres — but the 1970s saw innovations in existing genres like rock and country, as well as the emergence of new genres like funk, soul, disco, hip hop and punk. So for today’s Coffee Break, what songs from the 1970s do you want to hear?
