Today in 1968, Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through The Grapevine” went to No. 1 on the U.S. charts. The acclaimed soul classic has since been covered by many artists. In 1998 the song was inducted to the Grammy Hall of Fame for "historical, artistic and significant" value.
