Top 10 Songs of 2022

The 1975 - ”Happiness”

If you know me, I’m kinda obsessed with the 1975. I can’t wait to see them on Dec. 14. Plus, this song just makes me smile every time I hear it.

Kendrick Lamar - “Die Hard”

Kendrick delivered one of best hip-hop albums of the year. The track just hits a chord for me. It has so many different meanings, and Kendrick’s first verse is 🔥🔥🔥.  Asking the tough questions: “Do you love me? Do you trust me? Can I trust you?“

Genesis Owusu - “Waitin’ on Ya”

Seeing him live at the Turf Club was the best show I’ve seen in some years and the best show of the year. The production and everything that went into the live show was next-level. He is for sure someone that should be on everyone’s radar next time he comes to town. It was a hard toss-up between “Waitin’ on Ya” and his new song “Get Inspired.”

Foals - “Wake Me Up”

The opening guitar gets me pumped and it’s definitely catchy. Morning, evening, or whenever, it get me going! Also, their live show is a party. Simple lights and great lighting direction!

Pusha T - “Diet Coke”

All I have to say is “Yesterday's price is not today's price”. Another biased song placement as Pusha T is one of my favorite artists of all time. Anything Pusha puts out is going to be something I play over and over again, and that was for sure the case for his album It’s Almost Dry

Maggie Rogers- “Want Want”

Catchy, makes me want to dance, and it’s Maggie!!

King Princess - “Let Us Die”

KP can do no wrong. They deliver with every song. Plus Tayler Hawkins on drums: Amazing. RIP.

 Jack White - “Hi-De-Ho” feat. Q-Tip

I knew when I saw the track listing for Fear of the Dawn that this song would deliver. The mix of hip-hop and in-your-face rock is great.

Paramore - “This Is Why”

Pop-punk emo, need I say more? Wait, it’s Paramore, back with new music!

Adele - “Oh My God“

I’ll be the first to say that I was never an Adele fan. I did not get the big draw to her until this album, 30. The R&B-soul vibes on this track are special.
