Album of the Week: The 1975's "Being Funny in a Foreign Language"

The 5th full length from British rockers The 1975 finds the band working with producer of the moment, Jack Antonoff, using acerbic wit and antagonism to take a sharp look at loneliness and past relationships.
Bringing in horns that bleat and tremble and strings that sweep and swoon. There’s musical moments that bring to mind Paul Simon, Bon Iver, and Bruce Springsteen – but Matty Healy’s distinctive voice and delivery put us firmly in 1975 territory.
Being Funny in a Foreign Language, has a dark sense of humor to show off and we’ll be giving it a listen all week long as The Current’s Album of the Week and find more from The 1975 at The Current dot org
