The Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II is being celebrated from June 2 to June 5 in the U.K. and the Commonwealth — which includes the nations of Canada, Australia, the Bahamas, New Zealand, Kenya, Malaysia and many others — to mark the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II, which happened back on February 6, 1952. The Queen is also revered in the United States, so many Americans have been following and enjoying the celebrations, too.
So let’s celebrate the Platinum Jubilee with music. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that mention royalty in the lyrics or are performed by an artist with a royal-sounding name?
