Kristoff Krane, a Minneapolis hip-hop artist who’s been a longtime staple of the local music scene, has experienced a car accident causing injuries that will require extensive rehabilitation.

“Chris sustained 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, a ruptured spleen, fractured and bruised pubic bone,” according to a MealTrain organized to support the family of the artist also known as Christopher Keller.

“He is currently able to walk alone with a walker short distances and needs assistance sitting and standing. Chris continues to have pain breathing, crying, and laughing though he feels an improvement each day. Health Care professionals project 9-12 weeks of daily and direct care/physical rehabilitation needed.”

Krane has been active in music for the past two decades, performing in both solo projects and collaborations such as Face Candy - an experimental jazz rap group that also included the late Eyedea. Most recently, he released a two-part album cycle called Kairos in 2017-18.

In 2010, Krane performed a set at The Current in support of an earlier double-album release.

For those interested in supporting the Keller family, meals and funds can be donated through the MealTrain, which has already raised nearly $5,000.
