The Chart Show: SZA debuts with "Hit Different"
October 15, 2020
After only three weeks on the chart, Janelle Monae moves to #1 with the new single, "Turntables." Khruangbin enters The Chart Show Hall of Fame with one of the longest runs at the bottom of the chart with "Time (You and I)" ending at #12. New entries this week come from UK punk band IDLES and SZA's new song featuring a guest appearance from Ty Dolla $ign. Three songs are on the verge of reaching Hall of Fame status as The Avett Brothers hang onto #20 with "Victory," My Morning Jacket hold onto the top ten with "Feel You," and Fiona Apple nearly reaches #1 for a second week in a row.
DEHD continues to be the charting underdog with their critically acclaimed new release and the single, "Out of Sight," while Angel Olsen and Kathleen Edwards slip slightly downward. Black Pumas, Tame Impala and Waxahatchee push up this week along with a strong third week from The Boss ahead of the new album coming on October 23rd.
