The 2020 Americana Honors & Awards nominees have been announced

Although the 2020 Americana Fest in Nashville has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 19th annual Americana Honors & Awards will be presented on Wednesday, Sept. 16 of this year.
On Monday, the Americana Music Association announced its nominees for the 2020 Americana Honors & Awards. This year's nominees include the Highwomen, Black Pumas, Brittany Howard, Nathaniel Rateliff, Yola, Drive-By Truckers, the late John Prine, and many other artists heard on The Current and Radio Heartland. Here is the list:

How the 2020 Americana Honors & Awards ceremony will play out remains to be determined. The event is scheduled to take place at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, but in a statement, the Americana Music Association qualified, "Ticketing information will be announced as plans unfold. With that said, we want you to know that we're consistently monitoring the evolving situation regarding COVID-19 and will keep you posted as we approach the ceremony date."
Next year's Americana Fest dates have been set for Sept. 21 to 26, 2021.
