Adam Weiner is the frontman and songwriter for the band Low Cut Connie. Like just abvout everybody, Weiner finds himself at home during these days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

So what does he miss most about playing live shows?

"Those pungent smells," he says. "When we play live, the room gets very pungent. People are sweating and touching and screaming and crying and dancing and rubbing up on each other, and their arms are up, and it's just a total cathartic feeling to be together.

"But you know what I've been so excited about over these last very challenging weeks?" he continues. "Is we are finding ways — radio stations, artists, all of us in entertainment — we are finding ways to create those moments of release and connection, even though we're quarantined."

In a lively conversation punctuated by rollicking music, Adam Weiner plays the title track from Low Cut Connie's forthcoming album, Private Lives. He also plays a song from the band's previous album, Dirty Pictures (Part 2), and he pays tribute to Prince with a cover we can all sing along to.
