Poised to be inducted to the Chart Hall of Fame for the sixth time, but the first without his Night Sweats, Nathaniel Rateliff is back at Number One for the third week. In an Esquire interview recently he told the story of "And It's Still Alright", making it after a divorce and the death of his long time producer and dear friend Richard Swift.

Inducted to the HOF for the very first time are Khruangbin and Leon Bridges, who has gotten in twice before solo. Another combo that might never happen again, Sabrina Ellis and Har Mar Superstar, Heart Bones are also inducted. And Billie Eilish gets in for the fourth time, putting her JUST outside the Top 50 All Time, with a song that matters, according to The New York Times annual Top 25.

Apparently not hit worthy when singing about how the, "hippies were right, empathy is good!" as the first song we played from Nada Surf's new album said. But now they bring "So Much Love" and it works, the highest new entry at #13! They had started their European tour last week before everything was cancelled in France, but before they left found time to do a World Cafe session.

Car Seat Headrest are back with a new album next month and an extensive tour through the summer, because Will Toledo, the lead singer likes to wear turtle necked sweaters while playing festivals, as he did at Rock The Garden 2017.

Married to a Minnesotan and married ON the stage at First Avenue, Lucinda Williams enters the chart with a crash at #18. Good Souls, Better Angels out 4/24, is produced with her husband Tom Overby and Ray Kennedy who engineered "Car Wheels On A Gravel Road" her break out album back in 1998. Another song from it, "Man Without A Soul" caused a stir when released last month, as it seems to emasculate the President.

One of the many many casualties of the ongoing coronavirus situation is the world tour that The National had planned with Phoebe Bridgers! She's brand new at nineteen.

Author Brene Brown first turned me on to the power of expressing vulnerability. Now MTV are suggesting that another fave of mine Margaret Glaspy can make "vulnerability in vogue" with the groove of the songs on her forthcoming second album Devotion.
