Sometimes, seeing a performer live makes such a difference. Recordings are wonderful, engaging and in many cases perfect, but when you actually experience someone like Ellis Delaney in person, you leave much happier than when you came.

Ellis Delaney — who formerly performed under the mononym Ellis — is releasing her 10th album this weekend, Ordinary Love. She has recorded albums all over the country, but this time she stayed in Minnesota and used the area's extensive supply of very talented musicians to back her up. Ellis stopped into the Radio Heartland studio recently to play some tunes, talk about the new record, and bless us with her wonderful smile and infectious laughter.
