This week on Teenage Kicks we dig into a new release from Bryan Ferry: Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 1974. Ferry was one of the biggest stars in the UK, with his band Roxy Music's "futurist retro" sound exploding on the scene, mixing powerful music with elements of glitter, camp, and humor. Ferry led the group, juxtaposing a tuxedoed sophistication to the bell bottomed long hair of the era.

Similar to David Bowie, Bryan Ferry's music managed to attract an audience from intellectuals to pop fans, filling his solo albums with re-interpretations of classics by Dylan, the Stones, and even some standards from the '30s, delivered with his unique vocal style that makes this live release a fascinating and welcome addition to his catalog.
