Hanukkah began last night - a Jewish holiday also known as the Festival of Lights and the Feast of Dedication that is observed for eight nights and days.

The festival is traditionally observed by lighting the candles of a candelabrum with nine branches, called a Hanukkah menorah.

And we should mention that "MPR News Presents" will feature "Candles Burning Brightly", a special program exploring Hanukkah foods and traditional activities, along with plenty of music selected and hosted by Classical MPR's Mindy Ratner. You can check it out in the link above or hear it today on MPR News at noon or at 9 pm.

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that mention Hanukkah, light or miracles?

Respond with your song ideas in the comments below.
