Whitney bring their big, melodic sound to The Current studio

"It's melody first whenever we come up with a song," says Whitney lead singer and drummer Julien Ehrlich. "The spark is always melody."
Those sparks have led to the release of Whitney's second album, Forever Turned Around, which came out on August 30 of this year.
Busily touring in support of the new album, the Chicago seven-piece stopped at The Current for a session hosted by Mary Lucia before a show Thursday night in the First Avenue Mainroom in Minneapolis. The Whitney roster comprises Julien Ehrlich (drums, vocals), Max Kakacek (lead guitar), Malcolm Brown (keyboards), Will Miller (trumpet), Ziyad Asrar (guitar), Print Choteau (guitar) and Josiah Marshall (bass).
