This week's schedule
Artists hailing from across the Atlantic and members of indie bands are invading this week's Music on TV. But first, on both Monday and Tuesday, The Highwomen — made up of singer/songwriters Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby to be the supergroup counterpart to the 1985 male country music supergroup Highwaymen — will be talking with Anthony Mason on CBS this Morning and performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon respectively. Singer and guitarist Julien Baker and singer/songwriter Lucy Dacus of indie rock supergroup boygenius will also be performing a new taping for Austin City Limits on Tuesday while Monday also brings British singer/songwriter Bishop Briggs — most known for her song "River" — to The Late Late Show with James Corden. Fellow English singer/songwriter Sam Fender, who performed at The Current day party in Austin, Texas, will be performing at Lollapalooza this weekend and on Jimmy Fallon this Thursday.
There are many more new shows coming up include a performance by Icelandic indie pop group Of Monsters and Men (Wednesday) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and indie pop duo the bird and the bee (Thursday) on The Late Late Show with James Corden. The Head and the Heart, an indie folk band that just came out with new album Living Mirage will be on Jimmy Kimmel Live! as well (Thursday). Yet another rerun of The Jonas Brothers will be on Late Night with Seth Meyers (Friday).
American singer/songwriter Khalid will be on TV this week on Saturday as the musical guest accompanying English actor from "Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw" Idris Elba on Saturday Night Live.
