Coffee Break: Bobs
May 30, 2019
After 27 years at Minnesota Public Radio, Bob Collins is retiring.
In this week's Cross Currents, he says "I'll miss a lot about my radio home, but nothing more so than The Current, which is the kind of radio that excited me when I entered the radio business 45 years ago. It's innovative, authentic and it is the glue that holds our far-flung musical community together with the kind of human contact that doesn't exist much on radio anymore."
He'll join his "best friend for five minutes" Mary Lucia from 2-4:30 this afternoon to talk about his legacy at MPR and do one last news break. We will miss you Bob!
For today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear that are performed by a Bob?
