The 2019 Americana Honors & Awards will take place on Sept. 11 of this year in Nashville, Tenn., at the Ryman Auditorium. On Tuesday, May 14, the Americana Music Association announced the nominees across six categories. Many if not all of the names are familiar to listeners of The Current and of Radio Heartland, with artists such as Kacey Musgraves, John Prine, Jade Bird, Mavis Staples, Amanda Shires, Yola, I'm With Her, Brandi Carlile, The War and Treaty, and J.S. Ondara — to name but a few — all landing on the final ballot.
