With Saturday, April 13, being Record Store Day 2019, The Current's music news checked in with five record store managers across the country:
• Jason Hughes of Rock Paper Scissors Goods in Minneapolis
• Scott Wishert of Lunchbox Records in Charlotte, N.C.
• Nathaniel Mitchell of Wuxtry Records in Athens, Ga.
• Anna Lundy of Grimey's New and Preloved Music in Nashville
• Steve Young of Record Wonderland in Roselle, Ill., near Chicago
Each of these record-store operators shared their thoughts about what is, next to the holiday-shopping season, the biggest day of the year. They also talked about what activities they have planned and about some of the special Record Store Day releases they themselves are most looking forward to. Plus, they share a few bits of advice for vinyl enthusiasts heading out on Record Store Day.
