Dead Horses perform three new songs at Radio Heartland
by Mike Pengra
April 10, 2019
I had the pleasure of meeting the Wisconsin band Dead Horses a few years ago after the release of their second studio album, Carton Moon. Since then, they released another record in 2018 — My Mother the Moon — and have been traveling nearly constantly, performing their material all over the country. And with that busy schedule, the soonest we could arrange for a return visit was this month. But when they returned, rather than talk about My Mother the Moon, they wanted to play NEW material — stuff that I hadn't heard yet. What a treat!
So I threw away all of my notes and listened while Sarah Vos and Daniel Wolff played for me — and for you — in the Radio Heartland studio.
Songs Performed
"Family Tapes"
"Birds Can Write the Chorus"

Studio versions of these songs are forthcoming later in spring 2019, with a physical album to follow in the winter.
