International Women's Day is March 8, a global day celebrating the achievements of women, and The Current will play nothing but music fronted by musicians who identify as women across genres and eras, presented by the women of The Current. Listeners will hear a playlist of Patsy Cline, Patti Smith and PaviElle. Laura Marling and Lauryn Hill. Sleater-Kinney, Sharon Jones and St. Vincent. Feist and Fiona Apple. Anohni and Alice Merton. Kate Bush and Kate Nash. Bjork and Billie Holiday. As well as interviews, mini studio sessions, and online content throughout the day.
