by Anna Weggel
October 19, 2018
We are lucky enough to have a special guest coming by the show today - Ron Campbell, legendary animator, who did animations for Sesame Street, the Yellow Submarine feature film, The Beatles TV series, George of the Jungle, the Popeye and Olive Show, Scooby Doo Where are You?, Heathcliff, Pacman, Ghostbusters, Stuart Little, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Winnie The Pooh, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Duck Tales, TaleSpin and Rugrats.
Campbell worked on many scenes in The Beatles Yellow Submarine feature film including the Sea of Time sequence, and much of the action between the Chief Blue Meanie and his side-kick, Max, and he animated many scenes involving Jeremy the Boob/Hillary/the Nowhere Man. Since retiring after a 50 year career, he has been painting subjects based on the animated cartoons he has helped bring to the screen with particular emphasis on The Beatles, and he shows his cartoon pop art in galleries internationally and across the country.
