Pushing Chain perform at Radio Heartland

So I learned a new term today: "folky-tonk." That's a word Boyd Blomberg and Adam Moe — better known as the band Pushing Chain — use to describe their sound.
Pushing Chain have been playing up and down the shores of Lake Superior for years, but more recently have expanded their song list and road trips and have met some interesting folks along the way. Their new album, Sorrows Always Swim, was recorded in Austin, Texas, with a bunch of legendary players, including Bill Kirchen (Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen) who really helped them achieved their goal of blending "folky-tonk" with gutsy, classic Texas country.
Adam and Boyd stopped into the studio to talk about their experience and their upcoming release show this weekend at Rieder Homestead Concerts in Delano, Minn.
